Gasthof Engel in Wertach

The beautiful old inn has an excellent kitchen, very appealing with a fine seasoning, everything very tasty and wonderful desserts. We were served very warmly and well here several times. We are happy to recommend this inn to others. H. + W. Reinstädtler and 4 friends with 3 four-legged friends from Koblenz or from vacation in the Allgäu.

Super delicious food. We were there with two families and everything tasted very good. Nice service, cozy atmosphere, everything was great. We will be back.

Delicious and good Bavarian cuisine at fair prices. Very friendly and attentive service in a rustic atmosphere. I can only recommend it, great.

The food tasted great. I had redfish, my partner had game. Both were delicious and we'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, I found my visit here mediocre. The waitress was nice, but totally overwhelmed because she and her colleague had to run the whole thing for two. It took a long time until we got the menu and it took a lot longer until the food finally came. Unfortunately, the quality wasn't the best either. We will not come back.

The condition was a bit rough at the beginning. As we sat at the table ourselves after waiting 5 minutes for an assignment because she wants to disinfect the tables beforehand. But then we went. Food was good and there was also relatively quick. It was a lot going on.

Here we ate very tasty and more than enough, everything freshly prepared. The service was very nice and brisk?

Good food, friendly service and a drinkable beer. It is definitely worth stopping here. The beer garden, which is shaded by chestnut trees, also offers typical Bavarian flair.

Unfortunately I can only give three stars here. That we had to wait an hour for the food was one thing, but it can always happen. But unfortunately the service staff had no overview and also at the next table always had an answer ready why the waiting time was not going so well. During a meal, the meatballs were so hard on the outside that they shouldn't actually go out to the guest. The meal of the day meatloaf with spaetzle and cream sauce tasted good, unfortunately the cream sauce was a little "too" seasoned with salt. Would of course test it again to see if it was just a bad day.

Good home cooking We were there several times. You have to try the cheese bread, well presented and delicious. The warm dishes were also very tasty. The service is very friendly and attentive. When there is a lot going on, but a bit overloaded and it takes a while

Top food, great menu, top service, cozy, rustic ambience

We ate there after we searched for an open reatsurant in Nesselwang and Wertach. The waitresses were really nice and friendly, always smilling. The Gulaschsuppe was great. I ordered Käsespätzle, my husband had the Meatballs with Zuchinni ragout and french fries. The food was good, he didn't like the meatballs but concluded that he was expecting smth else. But those freeking flies were awfull! I know that the acn't do anything since ut was a terrace, but we realky didn't eat our food because those flies (aprox 15 flying non stop over our food and on us) made us almost want to vomit. I literally had to watch out as i tried to put the food in my mouth because they would fly on the fork. That was the inly minus but ut really kills you appetite when you have all of a sudden 15 flies trying to sit on what you eat and sitting on you ? Good food, nice staff, clean restaurant, nice Biergarten.

Beer with a very special taste, something like a yellow-colored soda.

Very nice service, grilled meat unfortunately very thin, should be smaller but thicker. The furnishings and covers on the benches are getting old and worn out.

No card payment possible! ATM was closed, you are left there and have to take care of yourself. And then you get dressed very unfriendly! Never again. Eating is also not well tolerated.

The three of us really enjoyed it. Everything was wonderful in taste, large portions. From the delicious beer to the great dishes and the nice service, perfect !!! We would like to come again.
